Very good food, seasoning at the right point. It has a kids menu and great drinks. They need to improve the dessert and parking is on the street. But overall it's good. I recommend.
Had the chicken fajitas, food was perfect, sat outside and had a wonderful company outing. If I could I'd eat here almost everyday. The guac is delicious as well. Don't skip this place it's worth your while
Hadn’t been to Zarape in a handful of years and decided to give it a try last night as we typically go to a different local Mexican restaurant. Nice new renovation but lost the vibe I remember it having. The remainder of the experience was a major disappointment. We sat at the little bar in front of the window where service wasn’t great. Truthfully the bartenders are slammed and having them break away from the bar to service us is probably a pain for them, but that’s on management to figure out. We went to order guacamole but were told there’s no guacamole due to an avocado shortage. I’ve had no problem getting it else where or avocados at the grocery store? Our food comes out and my chimichanga is soggy. I know the bottoms get a little wonky from sauce but this whole thing is a soggy burrito with no crisp. My husbands meal comes out and there’s guacamole on his plate, I just laughed. Refried beans were good, margaritas were good, the chips had either an over cooked or old oil sort of taste. There’s definitely better options locally - we won’t be back.
Great, authentic Mexican food, and a favorite of our out-of-town friends who lived formerly in Arizona, so they know good Mexican. Zarape has a nice, newly remodeled space with a high ceiling and if the Bruins are playing, the game is usually on above the bar which you can see from most seats. Polite waitstaff. You can park down the road in a parking lot or on the street.
Went here for lunch, the staff was super friendly. They give complimentary tortilla chips and salsa even before they give the menu which are fresh and tasty, a big help if you are hungry.
The ambience is very typical for a Mexican restaurant and not too crowded too.
The food was delicious and on par with other top rated Mexican restaurants.
Since I was doubtful about the food being Halal I opted for see food and I was not disappointed.
The spice level was not too high and the quantity was more than sufficient for the main course.
Fresh tasty food served in simple, honest presentation. Friendly staff.
Added: Lunch menu also does all the above
After visiting the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, my husband and I found Zarape, about 8 minutes from the museum. Being from the west coast, it's difficult in New England to find the style of Mexican food we grew up with. Zarape is not far off though! The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The margaritas, appetizer and our meals were all delicious. I love the style of beans they do...flashbacks from home. I got the Dona Oti Margarita with hibiscus and watermelon and my husband liked it so much he got one too. The Queso Fundido app with steak was amazing! I've never had anything like it but the liquid cheese was magic 🪄 ❤ My only critique might be that some of the dishes lacked salt, but overall the food was great and we'll be back when we're in Massachusetts again!
A good sit down Mexican restaurant. I ate here with a party of 8. Everyone agreed all of the food was pretty good. They had some fancy seasonal cocktails that were strong. Service was fairly good and quick given they were pretty busy when we got there. Parking might be a little tough in the area.
